A few things I am looking forward to....

Tomorrow we are going to the rodeo in Plainville, Alec won tickets.  I have never been to this one, so looking forward to it.

Then Saturday is our 9 year anniversary.  We decided we were going to take the fun bus casino trip the radio station has.  Its a one day trip.  That should be fun!

Then next week I am going to a class taught by Tim Holtz!  I never thought I would be able to go to one of his classes.

Several fun things to look forward to!

Prizes I won...

I thought I would share pictures of a couple of the prizes I won.

Saturday I received my package from Mark Montano.  Lots of great goodies.  I also looked through each page of Mark's book and it has some great projects in it!  I love the way Mark lists all the supplies and the directions are easy to follow.  It's as though Mark is in the room talking to you as you read through it.  I can't wait to get some of his other books.  Check out Mark's Blog for some great ideas!

Here is my prize from Crafty Steals, lots of great scrapbooking goodies and a tote!  What a great variety of products!

Happy Birthday Brook!

My sweet little granddaughter Brook turned 5 on Tuesday, May 10th.  She was so excited, she told everyone she saw about her birthday!  One of the gifts I gave Brook was a headband, I made it using the i-top tool from Imaginisce.    I planned on making her a ring, but didn't have everything I needed, so once I get it in the mail I will make her one.  Linda and I took a little rice krispie cake and some candles over and sang happy birthday and let her blow out the candles.  Of course she had to rip in to her presents before she blew out her candles.

Alec, my husband won tickets from the radio station to see Dierks Bentley in Salina last night (April 27th).  The concert was so good!   Miss Willie Brown and Josh Thompson were the opening acts.  Then Dierks Bentley.  I am so glad we got the chance to go.  Also got a meet and greet with Josh Thompson.  I hope they come to Kansas again!

Great weekend....

This has been a great weekend and it is over way too fast!   Saturday I scrapbooked with some friends.  Then today I have been working on my scrappy room.  I moved out some shelving and moved in some different cabinets and am in the process of organizing it.  It will take me a while, but I think I will like it when I'm all done.  And to top everything off, the weather has been WONDERFUL!

I haven't posted much lately, I've been kind of down.
My father in law passed away a couple of weeks ago. He was in the hospital for about a month and just couldn't hold on any longer. RIP Doyal.

We lost our beautiful Sally Mae, she darted under the pickup tires as Alec was driving up the driveway. She died instantly, we are heartbroken. She was such a sweetie. Poor Smudge, (our rat terrier) is lost without her, they were constantly together.

Then yesterday, I decided I would polish my toenails, flip flop weather is here. I went to shake the bottle, forgot I had already opened it and the lid flew off and I now have some very colorful carpet in the downstairs bathroom.

I did finish my projects for the Big Scrap Deal Design Team. :)

I will be heading to Wichita soon for the annual Water/Wastewater Conference.

And Spring is here!!!! I love Spring. I have some Daffodils and Crocus blooming.

Chuckle for the day...

SHAMPOO WARNING: I figured out why I've gained weight. The shampoo I use in the shower that runs down my body says, "for extra volume and body." Going to start using Dawn dish washing soap. It says, "dissolves fat that is otherwise difficult to remove."
